We recommend you take these steps NOW for these major practice changes

by doing the following:
-        Offers of Compensation to buyer’s brokers will continue to be permitted to be offered and marketed, just not using the MLS or the MLS provided tools (e.g. ShowingTime) or any 3rd party software/website.

-        Talk to your managing broker about where your brokerage will publish its offers of compensation and where to find other brokerages’ offers of compensation

-        Understand that financing regulations do not permit buyers to finance their buyer’s broker commission and what that means for sellers, appraisals and loan-to-value.

-        Know your value proposition for both buyers and sellers.

-        Take the free NAR class to become an Accredited Buyer’s Representative ($295 value NAR is offering free for 2024). Sign up here.

-        Understand what buyer relationship forms you will use and when you are required to use them (starting at #50 at NAR FAQ)

-        Refer to facts.realtor for many other FAQs that provide detailed clarification to the various required practice changes.
