2026 ABOR President
Kristen Maley

Dear Members,

I am excited to announce the Aspen Board of REALTORS is off to a strong start! Our membership continues to grow and thrive at the local level. Alesha, Kip, and the board of directors are actively planning for another successful year and refreshing our educational offerings, annual events, community involvement and member services.

Please take advantage of ABOR’s favorite annual event and upcoming educational classes.

  • March 18, 2026: Market Update Lunch – Economic and Real Estate Forecast for 2026 featuring Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist of the National Association of Realtors, and local expert Randy Gold. Click Here to Register
  • Our upcoming education events can be found here.

These events will offer crucial information for navigating the local and statewide real estate landscape, ensuring you stay informed, connected, and ahead of any curves.

At the state level, we have recently witnessed the power of CAR’s political advocacy, successfully defeating House Bill 1036—the vacancy tax bill. CAR is also organizing the Connections Symposium in Colorado Springs for the last week in April. All REALTORS are invited to this opportunity to connect and learn about the latest practices.

At the national level, NAR has announced three dynamic initiatives for 2026 focused on enhancing the member experience and modernizing the REALTOR organization:

  1. Equip REALTORS® with actionable residential and commercial market intelligence and research insights.
  2. Provide REALTORS® with educational opportunities to expand their expertise.
  3. Adopt advanced technology and tools that enhance REALTORS®’ businesses.

NAR is also engaged in conversations with Congress about addressing the housing crisis through bipartisan legislation. On the regulatory side, there is increasing support for reducing federal red tape and improving coordination among federal agencies. Regarding tax issues, NAR continues to advocate for modernizing the capital gains exclusion for home sales through the More Homes on the Market Act.

I look forward to seeing you in March and working together to advance the professionalism and success of the communities represented by the Aspen Board of REALTORS.  Follow @aspenboardofrealtors to stay in the know.

Respectfully and enthusiastically,

Kristen Maley
