I hope this message finds you ready and well prepared for the summer selling season. I am writing to update you on ABOR happenings.

The Association has just completed the annual Heldman King Scholarship awards process. I felt honored to participate with the review of applications and student interviews. This year, the committee voted to award 21 students a combined $84,000 - the most ever awarded in the history of this worthwhile ABOR community effort. Your participation in the Annual Heldman King Scholarship Golf Tournament makes these awards possible. Please save the date and plan to attend our 42^nd Golf Tournament and Silent Auction on September 8^th at the Snowmass Golf Club.

On another note, we are deeply concerned about the dangers of wildfires this year and hope that you are communicating safety measures with your homeowner clients. Colorado Association of Realtors has posted fire preparedness information worth reading and sharing to help understanding how to create safe, defensible space at home: https://coloradorealtors.com/coprojectwildfire/ This month, I will attend the Aspen Wildfire x Insurance Summit at Aspen Institute and will share insights soon.

ABOR is offering some great in person education opportunities:

• June 30th a class on Artificial Intelligence at 9AM (2 CE Credits) and Colorado Mountain Contracts at Noon (3 CE Credits). CLICK HERE TO REGISTER or you can get Education updates and registration links at ABOR socials @aspenboardofrealtors.
• July 14^th at 1:00pm – 3:00pm (2 CE Credits) ABOR is bringing in Scott Peterson and Damian Cox for the popular “10 Legal Things” Class. This is another In person offering that will be held at The Hoffman Hotel in Basalt. This class is not to be missed and covers hot legal topics and challenges facing Realtors in 2026.

The Annual Broker Forum for owners, managing brokers and office managers will take place the morning of July 14 and will be a new format, featuring CAR’s Legal Counsel, Scott Peterson,  Damian Cox of Cox Peterson LLC, and Tyrone Adams, CEO of Colorado Association of REALTORS®. The Forum will focus on management-related topics and offer a live Q&A with the presenters.
