WATER LAW ESSENTIALS

This is approved for 3 hours of core credit at the DRE. Attorney, Craig Smith will guide you through the process of water law in real estate transactions. There is, perhaps, no area of American law which evokes the lore of the old West more than water law. The body of law that developed in the irrigated river basins and mining camps to allocate this scarce and valuable resource is unique to the arid states of the West and has long been shrouded in mystique. The goal of this class is to equip agents with the necessary fundamentals of the principles of Utah Water Law and specifics relating to Summit & Wasatch Counties. FREE for Board members & $30 for MLS-only and non-members. Class is in-person at the Board office.
