Dear Members,
The real estate industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Changes in policy, technology, and consumer expectations are reshaping how business is conducted across the country. In an environment like this, strong leadership and a connected professional community matter more than ever.
Many of the conversations shaping the future of real estate are taking place at the state and national levels through the Utah Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. These discussions influence everything from MLS standards and professional practices to the advocacy efforts that protect private property rights and support a healthy housing market.
Here in Utah, the conclusion of the recent legislative session is a reminder of how important it is for REALTORS® to remain engaged in the public policy process. Housing availability and affordability continue to be central conversations across our state, including in Summit and Wasatch counties. Our association remains committed to supporting thoughtful housing solutions, advocating for policies that protect property rights, and working alongside local partners to strengthen community housing opportunities.
We are also continuing to strengthen our organization to better support our members. Recently, we have expanded our staff to ensure we are positioned to meet the growing needs of our membership and the evolving demands of the industry. We recently welcomed a part-time Communications Director to help enhance how we share information and tell the story of our REALTOR® community. We are also pleased to welcome back Tal Adair as our Government Affairs Director, bringing valuable experience and insight to our advocacy work, and to introduce Ellie Panagakos, who has joined the team to support our members and help ensure a strong and responsive member experience.
As always, our focus remains on providing a reliable MLS, relevant education, and strong representation for REALTORS® in our region. REALTORS® play a vital role in the health and vitality of our communities, and we are proud to support the professionals who help make homeownership possible.
