Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics is what sets REALTORS® apart from the rest. REALTORS must fulfill the NAR Ethics Training within a three-year cycle. This course will help you to handle difficult situations with proper ethical behavior and includes the new updated change to the code. The current NAR triennial cycle is January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. All members must have taken this class at least once during this time. Approved for 3 hours of CORE credit at the Division of Real Estate. Cost is $25 for Board members and $35 for MLS-only and non-members. Taught by Tom Morgan. Class is in-person at the Board office.

Mandatory Residential

The Division of Real Estate has created a 3 hour mandatory course for all real estate licensees. The purpose of the course is to keep up to date on industry concerns in areas of confusion, common misconceptions, and disciplinary actions, etc. This course is divided into 3 sections, residential, commercial, and property management. The mandatory course that we are offering will be residential and cover agency basics, real estate purchase contract basics, and legislative/administrative code updates and industry issues. Taught by Tom Morgan. Cost is $30/members, $40/non-members. Class is in-person at the Board office.

Residential Electrical and Plumbing

This class will help you learn to identify the basic components and functions of residential electrical service & plumbing systems. You will gain an understanding of what the service size of a household is and what it means, learn what various electrical ratings mean, and learn if a home may need an electrical service system upgrade and what may be involved in an upgrade. You will also gain an understanding of the Top 5 most common homeowner plumbing concerns, their common causes, and fixes, while identifying the basic components and functions of plumbing drains and vents. Approved for 2 hours of elective credit at the Division of Real Estate. FREE for Board members. $20 for MLS-only & non- members. Class is in-person at the Board office. Divorce and Real Estate Transactions

This course provides an extensive overview of real estate transactions stemming from a divorce situation or otherwise affected by a divorce. Ownership issues, property equity interests, and divorce decrees issued by courts are examined and discussed in detail. Emphasis is placed on the requirement that all necessary parties be involved in the purchase and sale agreement process and in clearing up any interests in the real estate that is the subject of the transaction. Common pitfalls are addressed in an attempt to assist the real estate professional in navigating the troubled waters that can occur in connection with these types of transactions. This class is for 2 hours of credit and is taught by Chad Phillips with US Title.

Financing Resort Real Estate

This is a required class for the Certified Local REALTOR designation and is approved for 3 hours of ELECTIVE credit at the Utah Division of RE. Luxury real estate financing is unique. There have been hundreds of credit policy changes in the past few years impacting you, your buyers, and our market. Terrifying Realities, the Dangerous Side of Real Estate

During this 3-hour training we focus on two interviews conducted with two different realtors, One being from Park City. The interviews are about dangerous scary situations and we openly/honestly discuss each situation and thoughts about prevention, response and other thoughts related to realtors and their true safety.

How to Be a Responsible Listing Agent
